Why This Role is Exciting

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our AI team, working on cutting-edge generative AI, traditional machine learning, and data-driven product features. This role requires a strong leader capable of driving large, strategic, and complex projects to completion. You’ll work closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to design and implement scalable AI-powered solutions that push the boundaries of innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and ship new product features focused on AI and machine learning features end-to-end

  • Continuously learn and apply new technologies to improve the product, enhance customer experience, and drive team performance.

  • Ability to write clear and well-defined design documentation

  • Mentor fellow engineers

  • Implement back-end APIs in Node.JS

  • Work on our Ember SPA front-end

  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers

  • Participate in an Agile software development life cycle

  • Write well-designed, maintainable & testable code

  • Be product-minded and think about the customer

  • Work with JavaScript, Typescript, Node.JS, Ember, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, etc.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software bugs

  • Contribute to open-source projects

Attributes of a Successful Candidate

  • 5+ years of experience developing web-based applications

  • Experience with a modern front-end framework (Ember, React, Vue, etc.)

  • Experience with Node.JS and modern ES6 or TypeScript

  • Experience writing REST / JSON APIs

  • Experience writing software tests

  • Ability to solve technical problems independently

  • Motivation to work hard and always be learning

  • Nice to Have

  • Experience with Ember.JS

  • Experience working on SaaS web applications

  • Bonus: Docker or Kubernetes experience

  • BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

  • Proven experience collaborating with machine learning and AI teams, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the AI/ML space.

  • Passion for solving complex problems and building innovative, data-driven solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
