Why This Role is Exciting:

The Manager of Referral Partnerships and Alliances will build and drive revenue-based relationships with key national and regional risk advisory firms.  This position will report to the Senior Manager of Partnerships and Strategic Alliances.  This role will closely collaborate with AuditBoard’s sales organization, as well as executive leadership, to develop strong, lucrative, and positive relationships with partner firms. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and owning new partner relationships
    • Tracking of KPIs for these partners and driving action to achieve target KPIs
    • Identifying new partners that fit into our partner ecosystem
    • Miscellaneous support activities for Deloitte
    • Building out joint recurring Pipeline Generation (PG) Programs and Field Days with the designated partners and the AuditBoard field team
    • Business travel a prerequisite to build relationships with key designated partners nationally
  • Relationship management:
    • Checking in on a regular cadence (bi-weekly or monthly depending on the partner)
    • Monitoring partner health via a Partner scorecard
    • Identifying where partners need more sales enablement and bringing in resources as appropriate (education, collateral, etc)
  • KPI tracking:
    • Setting quarterly and annual referral targets with each partner
    • Tracking performance to these targets on a weekly or bi-weekly basis
    • Tracking sales rep activity (joint events, pipeline reviews) with our partners
    • Tracking referral activity back to the partners (if applicable) to ensure partners are incentivized to work with us

Attributes for a Successful Candidate:

If you are the ideal candidate, you will already possess key relationships with national and regional risk advisory firms and have extensive background knowledge of how their risk advisory practices operate.  You also possess the audit, risk and compliance domain expertise that will enable you to explain the AuditBoard value proposition and demonstrate product benefits.  You also have a natural ability to network/build rapport with senior executive partners and can qualify prospective sales opportunities through probing questions. 

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales type of role
  • 1-2 years specifically in a partnership and alliance function
  • Financial industry experience a plus, but not required
  • Proficient in Salesforce
