About the VP of Demand Generation 

As Vice President of Demand Generation, you will lead the charge on pipeline generation that fuels the growth of AuditBoard. You will manage a talented and growing team of demand generators leveraging the best channels, technologies, platforms, and methods available to reach new customers and existing customers alike. You’ll develop segment-specific strategies to target enterprise and commercial accounts and engage them through every stage of the marketing funnel. Reporting to the CMO, you’ll collaborate closely with marketing, sales, product, and customer teams to help the business scale and reach its ambitious goals through our next phases of growth. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Own demand generation strategy, planning, and execution in order to achieve company growth goals across all segments
  • Scale and manage a team of experienced demand generation professionals responsible for our portfolio of programs across all channels, and segments
  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members on effective demand gen tactics and practices, creating a high performing and engaged experience 
  • Build, manage, and grow best-in-class demand gen programs to meet aggressive goals 
  • Work across top, middle and bottom of the funnel for end-to-end account and lead nurturing
  • Expand and optimize ABM and other programs to achieve target account goals
  • Lead and grow inbound marketing programs, including SEO, SEM, Social, Email, Marketplaces, Content Syndication, Events, Sponsorships, and other channels. 
  • Improve conversion rates across programs, website, and product led growth efforts
  • Partner closely with Marketing Communications, Events, Product Marketing, and Sales leads to ensure alignment on strategy, resources, messaging, and KPIs
  • Collaborate with marketing operations to optimize existing demand generation programs, conduct research, and identify new opportunities. 
  • Team with our RevOps, SDR/BDR, and sales teams to align on priorities, goals, and measurement; drive maximum conversion optimization of leads; and amplify coordinated pipeline building efforts
  • Partner with our customer teams on upsell/cross-sell programs that drive sales opportunities and account expansion 
  • Develop and track comprehensive metrics and KPIs, and advise on the effectiveness and future direction of our lead generation marketing campaigns and investments
  • Oversee and Manage ROI, and CAC/LTV, to optimize investments and ensure acquisition and other metrics are within goal thresholds
  • Provide regular forecasting and reporting of results against investments to executive leadership
  • Select vendors and partners to hit team goals
  • Define and manage program budgets

Qualifications: 

  • 15+ years of B2B Technology demand generation experience, including 8+ years as a leader
  • Experience within a hyper-growth company and fast-paced environment; ideally through growth stages of $50M to $500M ARR
  • Strong management skills with a proven ability to grow a team
  • Excellent and enthusiastic coach to team members
  • Experience managing and optimizing a multi-million dollar annual budget
  • Proven track record working with Sales leaders and teams to increase conversion rates down the funnel
  • Experience using tools such as Salesforce CRM, Marketo, Outreach, ABM platforms, ad tech, SEM apps, conversational chat, and web analytics to drive productivity and achieve your goals 
  • Experience developing and delivering on programs that support Enterprise and Commercial SaaS sales organizations across multiple segments and geographies 
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience deploying scalable testing frameworks and growth marketing programs 
  • Ability to harness differentiated creative and effective value propositions for multiple segments and personas
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Efficient time management and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-first mindset focused on providing value and solving business challenges
  • Strategic operational skills with the ability to also be creative in specific situations
