Who We Are Looking For

The Accounting Department is looking for a Billings and Collections Specialist to help our organization grow! As a Billing Specialist you will undertake a variety of financial and non-financial tasks. Your main goal will be to help guarantee the company’s revenues. You will be responsible for issuing the necessary paperwork for onboarding new Clients along with processing of incoming payments.

Main Job Duties Include

  • Manage the status of accounts and balances and identify inconsistencies
  • Create and submit invoices to customers
  • Check the validity of debit accounts
  • Update accounts receivable database with new accounts or missed payments
  • Ensure all clients remain informed on their outstanding debts and deadlines
  • Provide solutions to any relative problems of clients
  • Write thorough reports on billing activity with clear and reliable data
  • Contact customers regarding past due balances
  • Report on collection activity and accounts receivable status
  • Place calls to customers in order to assist/resolve customers’ requests
  • Complete vendor setup forms

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role
  • Proven written and interpersonal skills that comes with a customer-facing role. Takes an active interest in increasing customer happiness and deepening customer relationships
  • Understanding of relevant laws, rules and regulations
  • Passion for numbers and financial data
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Detail oriented with high standards to accuracy
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
  • Team player
  • Good time-management skills
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or BA
  • Self-motivated, proactive, energetic team player
  • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred
