Why This Role is Exciting:
As a Staff Product Data Analyst, you’ll own our product analytics strategy, managing tools and systems to ensure we have a clear view of how users interact with our product. Your expertise in event instrumentation and analysis will unlock new opportunities for growth and innovation. You will also be a storyteller behind our product data, transforming numbers into narratives that help shape the future of AuditBoard's product. Your insights will guide critical decisions across Product, Engineering, and Design, helping propel the company's direction..
You'll lead high-stakes analyses, weaving insights from tools like Amplitude, Mixpanel, FullStory, Snowflake, and Salesforce into clear, actionable recommendations. These stories will not just inform strategic decisions, but they will be the fuel that powers our most critical initiatives. In this role, you won't just analyze data—you'll bring it to life, making it a driving force behind our success.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis & Insights: Lead and conduct in-depth analyses of product usage data, combining it with information from other systems to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.
Storytelling: Develop and present compelling data-driven narratives that inform and influence product strategy and decision-making within PED.
Tool Expertise: Utilize Amplitude and other tools to track key metrics, assess performance, and drive actionable insights. Work with product teams in a consultative capacity to evangelize data driven decision-making and adoption of Amplitude across PED.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, sales, and customer success & support teams to deeply understand their needs and deliver impactful, actionable insights that drive decisions.
Strategic Ad-Hoc Projects: Lead or support strategic ad-hoc analyses, addressing complex business questions and providing actionable recommendations.
Data Integration: Integrate and analyze data from various sources (e.g. Snowflake, Salesforce) to provide a holistic view of product performance and user behavior to inform decision-making and product strategy.
Data Governance: Establish and manage a governance framework for product data, putting the right systems, processes, and resources in place to ensure accurate, compliant, and well-structured data.
Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years of experience in product analysis or a similar role, with a proven track record of leveraging data to drive business decisions.
Analytics Tools: Proficiency in Amplitude or other product analytics tools, with hands-on experience in tracking, analyzing, and interpreting product usage data.
Data Integration: Demonstrated ability to combine product usage data with data from other systems (e.g., Salesforce) to derive insights.
Storytelling: Exceptional skills in storytelling through data, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively to various audiences.
Technical Skills: Strong analytical skills with experience in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and statistical analysis.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
