Protiviti and AuditBoard Form Strategic Alliance

Protiviti and AuditBoard Form Strategic Alliance

New alliance combines AuditBoard’s innovative SOX and operational audit platform with Protiviti’s internal audit expertise to provide internal audit teams with the tools and resources to drive success

AuditBoard, the leading cloud-based platform for automating and transforming the way enterprises manage critical risk, audit, and compliance work, and Protiviti, a global consulting firm with deep expertise in internal audit, have formed a strategic alliance to collaborate and provide organizations with a comprehensive solution for advancing their internal audit initiatives.

As part of the alliance, Protiviti and AuditBoard are working together to empower internal audit teams, including integrating Protiviti’s KnowledgeLeader templates into the AuditBoard platform; providing advanced training and consulting to AuditBoard’s client base; expanding the educational tools and resources available to auditors; and co-hosting knowledge transfer sessions where audit and compliance leaders can share ideas and learn best practices.

“Internal audit is still behind other business functions in automation and transparency. By coupling Protiviti’s expertise in internal audit with AuditBoard’s SOX and operational audit platform, we form a rich relationship that offers advanced technology and makes it accessible and easy to use for internal audit teams,” says Brian Christensen, Protiviti executive vice president and global leader, Internal Audit and Financial Advisory.

The alliance is an extension of the existing relationship between the two companies, which had been focused primarily on the annual Protiviti SOX Compliance Survey. While the initial agreement expands each company’s internal audit offerings, it also represents a unique opportunity to leverage experience and technology for countless other risk management areas.

“We’re thrilled to expand our strategic relationship with Protiviti,” said Jay Lee, co-founder and president of AuditBoard. “With this powerful combination of software, thought leadership, and consulting, we’re uniquely positioned to lead and enable enterprises to redefine the value of internal audit. It’s not a matter of the internal audit function keeping pace with digital transformation, it’s a matter of leading the charge and providing expertise to the organization. We look forward to working with Protiviti to continue helping to empower enterprises to manage risk so their businesses are able to thrive.”

Protiviti’s 2019 Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance Survey, Benchmarking SOX Costs, Hours and Controls, is based on a survey of audit, compliance, and finance leaders and professionals at U.S. public companies, and was conducted with support from AuditBoard.
